Salvaging...?
I bought a salvaging kit and salvaged some webs i found but nothing happened...what is supposed to happen, they disappeared from my inventory and were not replaced with anything...how do i apply them? if at all.

usually ive gotten glittering dust from those
you double click the salvage kit then move the hammer (cursor) over what you want to salvage then click on that
you might try it on something else to see what happens

Are you sure you used the salvage kit? I only ask because I once used the ID kit and it basically added the value line to the item. Sucks for me since I sued up one charge--but Loviatar is right--I think I have always gotten glittering dust as well.

not always
sometimes it will simply reveal the value of it without changing a thing
only unidentified items will benefit pricewise

AHHH...i ahve the dust....i guess i already picked some up some where and hadnt noticed that i had multiple units now....anyone know what its good for?

I believe glittering dust is for crafting certain types of armor. As a ranger--you probably won't need it (not sure though--my ranger just made it past searing and mymonk does not use it so far).
I am guessing that it is for caster armor somewhere.
I have kept mine for now-in case I would need it--or one of my other characters later on.

Check the log you must have crafted something that was already in your inv. when this happens it looks like nothing was created as it auto stacks with the others. But if you expand your chat window you should see that you crafted something from it. used to think the same thing
